Thailand's District 3330 Group Study Exchange Team Visit
April-May 2003
As the fifth week of the visit to Central Maryland and Washington, DC
draws to a close, Thailand's District 3330 Group Study Exchange Team
presented a fascinating
program at North Bethesda's meeting 9 May 2003. Noting their positive
impressions of this part of America and its people, the team thanked Rotary
International and the clubs in District 7620 for the opportunity to visit
our
country and to experience many
unique and informative vocational, historical and cultural activities. Team
Leader Pongsak mentioned that Rotary is but 73 years old in his country,
that
Thailand has four Rotary districts, 72 clubs and 2170 Rotarians. Team
members
spoke of their intention to convey to colleagues and friends at home
information gained about life in America. All four have expressed a desire
to
become Rotarians in the near future.

Piyanart Apithambundit ("Nat") - University Lecturer (Marketing and International Relations)
Pongsak Phusitsakul - Rotarian, Team Leader, and General Surgeon
